Make your own chicken tenders! These are baked, not fried and lower in fat. This recipe calls for pre-packaged chicken strips, but can substitute boneless breasts or split breasts if you like, just adjust the cooking time.
2 cups plain bread crumbs
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper
1 pound chicken strips
melted butter
Mix together first four ingredients. Rinse chicken and pat dry with paper towel. Dip chicken in melted butter, then roll it in bread crumb mixture. Bake on cookie sheet at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. There is no need to turn chicken.
